On February 20, 2009, while surrounded by his family, Bob was gently called to his heavenly home by the Lord. |
|
He is survived by his wife of over 62 years, Shirley (Folden); their three children (and spouses): Sharon (Tod Gosselin), Michael (Micki), and Wanda (Tim Clifford); along with his sister, Ruth A. Cook (Vancouver, WA). His extended family includes 4 in-laws, 14 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, plus numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. |

Bob was born in Spokane on August 15, 1922, and was raised in Seattle. He served his country as a Merchant Marine and was honorably discharged on September 4, 1944. A master carpenter, Bob was proud of his employment for over 30 years with Lydig Construction, serving as a Superintendent until his retirement in 1984. |
|
Bob loved and served his family, church, and community. An avid outdoorsman throughout his life, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, 5th-wheeling, gardening, his dogs and a very special place on the Pend Oreille River known to the family as “The Property.” |

Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial held in Bob’s honor at St. Thomas More Parish, 515 W. St. Thomas More Way in Spokane on Saturday, April 4, at 11:00 a.m. A reception will follow at the Inland Northwest Wildlife Council facility at 6116 N. Market St. |

A private graveside service will be held for family on April 5, 2009. Inurnment at Greenwood Memorial, Spokane, WA. |
