Leslie Woods told me you were working on the Ione group’s information and gave me this website. You have edited the letter about their history and changed the spelling of the name Barkley to Barclay. Would you please change it to BARCKLAY? My grandmother was Lillie Ett Barcklay Lucas, oldest daughter of Orville and Mary Barcklay. Every record I have found for them spells their name as above.
My mother always told me that I was 7th generation church member on both sides of the family. I have found the Phay side back to Kirtland, but never had a clue about the line on the Lucas side. Since reading the history of the Ione group I can check to see if this is the line back. I now have a clue where to look for more information on Orville and Mary and where my grandmother may have been born.
It’s good to have a way to contact you. We enjoyed our visit with you and Colleen last summer.
